Questions to Ask Before Hiring a Texas Traffic Ticket Attorney
Are you living in Texas and looking for an experienced traffic ticket attorney? No matter how well you drive, at some point in your life you will most likely be charged with a traffic violation. Dealing with any kind of traffic violation can be a tiring and costly task. So, it is always a good idea to look towards the professionals. An experienced traffic ticket lawyer will not only fight for your case, but also fight to save your driver’s license from being suspended.
However, choosing the best lawyer can be a challenging task. Here are some of the important questions that you should ask before hiring a lawyer to fight your case.
- How long they have been fighting traffic tickets?
When looking for a traffic ticket lawyer, make sure you know what their experience and background has been, plus how long they have been in this field. It is a good idea to look for a professional who has years of experience in dealing with different traffic ticket violations. - How many traffic ticket cases they have done?
Ask them about the total number of cases they have solved. What type of cases do they usually deal with? Are they an expert in dealing with all kinds of violation or only specific types, such as speeding tickets, driving with no insurance or others? - What is their fee?
Finally, ask how much they will charge for a case. Most traffic ticket lawyers will vary their pricing based on the severity of the violation and the location of your ticket.

My son received a two tickets, one for running a stop sign (disregard stop sign (TXTRC 545.151), and the other he believed to be for having more than one person in the car. He is 17 and I guess you can’t have more than one person in car until you are 18. However, the officer entered in the wrong code and we need to get this thrown out. He entered the code “Violate CDL restriction (TXTRC 522.042) G” which has to do with commercial drivers. My son only has a Class C license. If he would have paid this ticket it would have gone on his record as a felony. Thank goodness we caught this mistake. Can you help get these two tickets thrown out?
My dad was given a ticket due to reckless driving, which is why we’re currently looking for a lawyer that may help him out. Well, we’ll make sure to verify the number of cases they have already handled. It’s also a good thing that you reminded us about the importance of asking about their fees first.
My mother would like to hire a lawyer that will help her out because she was caught drunk driving. Anyhow, you made a pretty good point that it would be best to hire an experienced lawyer. Thank you for clarifying here as well the importance of comparing prices and rates first.
My sister was given a ticket due to drunk driving, and that is why I’ve decided to start looking for sharing the importance of hiring an experienced lawyer. I also agree with you that it will be smart to seek references too. Thank you for sharing the importance of comparing prices.
